Some changes…
The theme I started out with for my Tumblr blog named “So Tech” was named “Minimalist”. First, I changed the background color of the entire blog from white to a light blue to give the blog a more colorful aspect. Secondly, I changed the background of the text boxes for blog posts from white to the same light blue as the background, so that the coloring of the blog would flow all as one color. Next, I made small changes to the title of the blog, such as increasing the font size, changing the font color from black to a light navy, and removed the two lines below the title to give the blog a cleaner look. Then, I changed the alignment of the text from center to left so all the text would be line. Next, I changed the page search text holder from “Search…” to “Hmm…” just to make the blog a little bit more interesting and laidback. Lastly, I added my name to the blog to give “So Tech” some character of my own.
Creating this Tumblr blog and having the opportunity to edit HTML and CSS coding really opened up my eyes to what goes on behind the scenes on formatting. I realized how much I have learned from coding because of how easy it was for me to change small aspects of the blog. I would definitely apply everything that I have learned from coding into formatting themes of my own. I enjoy being able to make the themes more of my own and getting more creative when formatting them. I am most proud of the final product of my theme and now being able to post with it to Tumblr.
